Clock
12-Hour Clock Time
A clock has three hands – the Hour hand, the Minute hand, and the Second hand.

A day is divided into two periods of 12 hours each:

The 24-hour clock time
The 24-hour clock time is used by the Railways and the Airlines. Some offices also work by the 24-hour clock.

The 24-hour clock time does not use a.m. and p.m.
Time begins from midnight, which is indicated as 00:00 hours.
The first 2 zeros stand for hours, and the next 2 zeros for minutes.
1 a.m. is written as 01:00.
1 p.m. is written as 13:00 hours → 12 + 1 = 13 hours
1:45 p.m. is written as 13:45 hours.
6 p.m. is written as 18:00 hours → 12 + 6 = 18 hours
00:00 hours is also written as 24:00 hours, which means that the day is over.
