Solution:
Here, we have to compare the mass of the Earth and the Moon.

Mass of Earth = 5.97 × 1024 kg
= 5.97 × 100 × 1022
= 597 × 1022 kg
Mass of Moon = 7.35 × 1022 kg
Since 597 × 1022 kg > 7.35 × 1022 kg.
So, Earth is heavier than the Moon.
Further, the difference of masses = (597 × 1022 kg) – (7.35 × 1022 kg)
= (597 – 7.35) × 1022 kg
